Every PMU service follows the same broad sequence:

• Consultation — pigment matched to your skin tone, shape mapped to your face
• Numbing cream — applied 20–30 minutes before to keep the session comfortable
• Session 1 — the initial pigment is deposited; takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the service
• Healing — 7 to 10 days of mild flaking; full colour settles around week 4
• Top-up session — 4 to 8 weeks later, to refine colour and any spots that healed lighter

PMU is called 'permanent' because the pigment is in the skin, but it fades. That is by design — skin type, sun exposure and skincare all affect how long the look holds.

• Brows — typically 1.5 to 3 years before a refresh
• Lip blush — typically 2 to 4 years
• Eyeliner — typically 3 to 5 years
• Touch-ups every 12–18 months keep the look at its best for longer

PMU is not for everyone. We do not perform PMU on patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, on active accutane, with uncontrolled diabetes or autoimmune flare-ups, or with active skin conditions in the treatment area.
